The so called contract drivers can barely make $300 per week after expenses, which averages $14,400 per year and less down time with trucks constantly breaking down and being forced to keep a vehicle that is unsafe, operational to force delivery, putting your life and that of the general public on the line.
I would not deal with Steven's Transport knowing what I know now from my short experience with them and will not wish it on my worse enemy.
I don't care if all the Trucking companies lie and inflate projected income. I know Stevens does and I will set up a web site specifically to warn other potential victims of this fraud and it's agents like JL.
I had less than 1 hour of total backing time prior to obtaining my driver's license which supposedly cost $6,020 plus additional $900.00 for hotel and food.
I was then placed with the trainer from *** who thought he would make me tough by being rude and obnoxious to me. By the way, his breath was badly in need of constant fragrance of tic-tac for support.
I may have to write a book about these clowns. The funny part to the whole thing is that the man in charge of Safety is one Adrian Wheeler with the intelligence of a 5 year old. He never answers his phone, nor does he return phone calls. He is so full of himself that his fax is shut off so that you cannot pin any correspondence on him. Yet he is the head of Driver Safety.
Makes you wonder eh! JL.

| 1. Written by Greg, on 10-09-2009 01:09 The safety guy was in Urban Cowboy and was a Bronco Rider in a scene. His girlfriend was supposedly the blond or so it goes. I went through the school and started to drive single. Training was good and decent in school all things considered for those who have not driven a truck before. There were some good trainers, bad ones, and the Student Driver was pathetic to the point of a fight. Afterwards I meet two of the most professional drivers I have ever seen in my limited experience. It is very unlikey you will make a decent living at Stevens let alone most truck driving companies. Yes; Stevens is smart to start and train personnel and get a subsidary (according to rumor). If you do not like it start your own school and get subsidized. Quit complaining about what the other person has. You want to be a follower your not going to make what a leader makes. I found other work overseas and a lot more financialy rewarding and decent. The company may not be the best but their money is green. |

I am glad someone saw them for the *** wipes they are. I would advice potential victims to stay away from them too. |
